As we celebrate 800 years of St. Francis’ legacy, we invite our parish community and neighbors to bring your pets for a blessing. Deacon Brandon will be presiding over the blessing.

St. Francis of Assisi is known as the patron saint of animals, among many other titles. His love for them came from a profound desire to worship God in all his creation. There are a few famous stories of his interaction with animals, including his taming of the Wolf of Gubbio, and his famous sermon to the birds.

We will have 2 blessing times on October 3rd:

• 3-3:30pm

Bring your dogs and cats, your lizards and birds, bring your horses! We will bless them all!
