Honor the Holy Passing of St. Francis
The Transitus of St. Francis is an ancient tradition celebrated by Franciscan communities all over the world to commemorate the passing of St. Francis from earthy life into the eternal glory of God.
As night falls and we wrap up of annual Feastival, we will gather in the parking lot to begin a peaceful candlelight procession, walking together into the illuminated church sanctuary, transitioning from the joy of our celebration into an evening of quiet prayer, light, and remembrance.
Our prayer service will include Night Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours and a brief reading reflecting on the saint’s final hours and everlasting legacy.
