A "Rorate Mass" is a traditional Advent devotion where Mass is celebrated by candlelight, accompanied by Gregorian chant. As we celebrate the Mass with low light, waiting for the sunrise, we are reminded of our own waiting for the coming of the Lord.
The name “Rorate” comes from the first words of the opening Advent antiphon "Rorate Caeli", translated as "drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the earth bud forth a Savior." Isaiah 45:8.
Father Szymon will celebrate. All are welcome!
