The Holy Mass

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch.”137

Holy Mass Music

“Music performs a function which is noble, unique, and irreplaceable. When it is truly beautiful and inspired, it speaks to us more than all the other arts of goodness, virtue, peace, of matters holy and divine. For good reason it has always been, and it will always be, an essential part of the liturgy”. St. Pope John Paul II, December 23, 1988 Letter

“The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art. The main reason for this pre-eminence is that, as sacred song united to the words, it forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy." Sacrosanctum Concilium, Chapter VI

Choose which Mass to attend: In order to provide more opportunities for all parishioners to engage better with the Mass, the music and Mass settings offered at each of the weekend Masses is different. All music is still vetted and liturgically sound, and singers and accompanists for all Masses are well trained.
