Christmas Mass Schedule
This year The Nativity of the Lord falls on a Wednesday. We have Vigil options on Tuesday as well as Masses on Wednesday. What Mass will you be attending?
Jubilee Year 2025
The Universal Church looks toward the Jubilee Year 2025. The great tradition of opening the Holy Door will begin when Pope Francis opens the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica on December 24, 2024. The Jubilee Year will offer the faithful opportunities to participate in various jubilee events at the Vatican and in our own archdiocese.Locally, on Sunday, Dec. 29, Bishop Jorge Rodríguez will preside on the local opening of the Jubilee Year with Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
St. Francis named Pilgrimage Site
On May 13, 2024, the Apostolic Penitentiary issued a decree on the plenary indulgence which may be obtained during the Jubilee Year by making a pilgrimage, piously visiting a sacred place, or performing a work of mercy and penance. Joining the Cathedral, Archbishop Aquila established nine pilgrimage sites throughout the archdiocese, including our parish!
Indulgenges
Pilgrimages: An indulgence may be received by those who travel to any sacred Jubilee site and participate in a Mass, a Liturgy of the Word, one of the major hours from the Liturgy of the Hours (Office of Readings, Morning Prayer, or Evening Prayer), devotional prayers such as the Way of the Cross, the Rosary, or a penance service that ends with sacramental confession.
Pious Visits: In addition to pilgrimages, the Jubilee indulgence may also be obtained by piously visiting a Jubilee site and engaging in Eucharistic adoration and meditation for a suitable period of time, concluding with an Our Father, a Profession of Faith, and invocations to Mary. It should be noted that adoration can either be done in the context of Eucharistic Exposition with a monstrance, but adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle also suffices for the indulgence.

Pray the Mass Like Never Before
by Father Mike Schmitz
You HAVE to see this. It is a bit long, but absolutely worth every minute!
“While many people go to Mass every week, few people know what it is to worship. We show up and do our best to “pay attention," but for too many of us, this just means we watch closely. You have been given a gift that you have most likely left unused. This gift is unused because it is largely unknown. This presentation will uncover this unknown and unused gift so that you can stop watching the Mass and start worshipping at Mass.
